"Piece Of Wonder - Vol.2"
I must say that this game does present
intriguing storylines.
As mentioned in an earlier post, there
was a conundrum regarding the interaction between the main character
(the male lead - Kazuya) and one of the girls.
That particular
course of events and resolution involved, in general, choosing the
dialogue options which are kind, caring, nice and polite...
dialogue options which I myself would
normally choose (okay.. okay.. stop laughing already!) The upside
though, taking this path through the game provides by far the easiest
way of completing as far as the difficulty of combat is concerned.
You may note that I exercise the
utmost care not to mention specifics just in case anyone else who reads
this actually plays the game.
Well, having resolved that
thread some time ago - I turned to explore the relationship with
another character - Raki.
Note that it's interesting how she
writes her name in kanji:
A
rather nice name for a girl !
Oh, did I mention that she's also an android.
A comely female one, to be more descriptive.
Aloof and imperious, she is introduced in rather unlikely circumstances
(that's just mildly putting it) and
regards the main character with condescending sarcasm, as evident from
her dialogue.
Case in
point:
In class:
Raki notices when the guy, as
usual, wakes up on the last bell.
"You sleep more than
my data indicates you would."
"That's because day by day, we humans get a little bit better at what
we do."
- I must say that's one of the best
responses that could be given. This main character really seems up
to the task, I'm happy to note! ^_^
..
..
..
..
..
"Human beings can also
become weak and lazy."
"........."
Guess you just can't win against the
cold
logic of a superior intelligence (read: woman) that is
out to chop up your puny little fragile male ego into itsy little
pieces before thoroughly incinerating it!
Generally, to explore further the
relationship with Raki involves choosing the 'mean' dialogue options
with the other girls (oh how my heart bleeds!)
The downside is that the battles are
much harder.
But it's all worth it, as the
story culminates to a nail-biting climax...................
..............which resolves to a
unexpectedly romantic ending.
The ending dialogue and the background
music reinforce the atmosphere, but as I've mentioned before, you can't
turn on both at the same time on my PC.
So there you have it, this story path
gives the same satisfaction of wading through 26 episodes of a standard
anime RABU SUTORII .
Now, excuse me while
I continue probing the possibilities of a fulfilling
relationship with a certain comely female android.
